Puppies make one if not the most adorable creatures on Earth. Too bad however that their cuteness doesn’t just appeal to humans, but also other predators that were lurking by.
Meet Latte; she is a twelve-week-old puppy who lives with Bonnie Ziegler in a foster home in North Scottsdale, Arizona. Just one look at her charming face and you can swear that she can take all the stress away from you.
One day, she and her other foster siblings were out in the yard for their supervised bathroom time, when all of a sudden an owl came out of nowhere and snatched her. Things happened swiftly; there was no unusual sound, let alone a single bark from the other puppies left behind. It was after Bonnie signaled the group to get inside when she realized that one went missing.
Shocked and worried, Bonnie immediately searched for Latte, but there was no sign of her anywhere nearby. Soon, the neighbors joined in the search, and much later a post was made on Nextdoor about her disappearance.
It was an ordeal that went on for a grueling twelve hours until finally, a group of golfers discovered her underneath a tree – injured and looking dehydrated. They hurriedly snapped a photo and posted in Nextdoor.
Bonnie left no second to waste and rushed to Latte’s rescue. She brought her to the vet where she was given immediate medical attention due to the severity of her injuries. The cute little pup was a fighter and managed to survive. After being in the emergency veterinary care for a week, she is now back in the foster home and well in her way to full recovery. Pretty sure, she’ll be up for adoption to find her forever home in due time.
Latte is lucky to have much love and support from her community. The fundraiser event was successful that covered $4,500.00 in total veterinary costs. What a great way to honor Arizona Gives Day!
