Elvis and Khaleesi are two film-loving Bulldogs who accompany their owner, a film buff himself, on movie nights. The four-legged film critics will be watching Leonardo di Caprio’s “The Revenant” as he portrays the legendary Hugh Glass, a 19th Century frontiersman, hunter, and trader. In the movie, he was viciously attacked by a grizzly bear and was left for dead by his companions. His impeccable survival skills helped him to live and seek help for his injuries.
It seems that these lovable canines are huge Leo fans. As Hugh Glass creeps into the forest with a shotgun in hand, the suspense is killing them. One of the dogs, Khaleesi, positioned herself right in front of the TV to see her matinee idol up close. Just then, an enormous Grizzly Bear attacks her beloved Leo, and she barks in anguish. Khaleesi stepped closer to the TV, until her nose was on the screen, trying to scare the bear away.
Then Hugh Glass laid still with his eyes closed as the bear was sniffing and checking if he’s dead. Khaleesi was silent. Did the bear just kill his beloved Leo?
Suddenly, when all seemed lost, Hugh Glass opened an eye and clutched his dagger. Then the Grizzly Bear bounded right back and mauled him once more. Hugh Glass stabbed the bear multiple times with all his might. Khaleesi cheered him on, “Go get him, Leo!” she barked at the screen.
Onscreen, Hugh Glass fell off a ravine. What’s worse is that the bear, which was seriously injured from its multiple stab wounds, came tumbling down after him, its 600-pound lifeless body landing right smack on top of the ailing hunter.
“Get up! Get up, Leo!” Khaleesi barked distressfully. Not far from her, Elvis the Bulldog looks on in shock.
